A new kind of web sites is popping up everywhere on the net : wikis, blogs, photo-sharing applications, and the like : the so-called social networking web applications. Sometimes labelled "web2.0" web applications, they give back power to its users.
And the users like that very much : the Internet landscape is evolving, and that shows in the statistics. The Washington Post [2] reports a huge traffic increase on websites focused on social networking [3], blogging and local information.
It's interesting for the site owners too : the content is often provided by the users themselves, which even sometimes add very usefull comments. That's a win-win game. Of course, content remains of paramount importance : there's no success without original and quality content.
