Google [3] already has Google Local [4] running, but Yahoo! [5] didnt have something similar. Not anymore : they just launched Yahoo! Local news [6].

If you live in Los Angeles or if you like to get news for the Los Angeles area [7]only [8], it's now possible.

The service is currently in beta stage, and only available for US citizens.
